SporadicalnessWell, I guess if a person never quit when the going got tough, they wouldn't have anything to regret for the rest of their life.

Wow!  I haven't updated in forever!  I have successfully made it through the first nine week grading period.  I am exhausted and working my butt off, but I'm okay.  I'm pulling about the same hours as doug (and that includes marching band practices) so I know I can't be trying any harder!  Anyway, Doug's marching band state finals are saturday, and I'm excited to see what will happen.  I know they won't win, and won't be top 5.  Nothing will be happening like that, but they have had a good season so far, and were even USSBA regional grand champions.  So they have had a good season, and I can't wait to see what happens at the very end on Saturday.

Well, school has started and I've got 21 little darlings in my homeroom.  I survived my first full week of classes.  I'm enjoying the long weekend.  Doug and I are in Greenville right now visiting some people.  We've been watching WGI Percussion DVDs from this year for about 3 hours now.  To say the least, I have a headache and am VERY ready for bed!  It is nice to see these people again though.  Doug and I went shopping today.  We renewed our Verizon Wireless service for another 2 years and got new phones.  For the first time Doug and I paid for some phones instead and got some cool ones instead of just getting the free ones.  I got a Chocolate and Doug got an LG EnV.  We both love our phones so far.  I need to put some music on mine but I can't really do that till we get home.  Anyway, I'm going to get off here and hopefully get to sleep.

Ta!

So I'm cursed.  If you want to win American Idol, SYTYCD, or shows like that...do NOT be my favorite...you'll only end up as runner up.  Sabra was great...and I liked her...I just liked Danny better.  His last solo of the season was ridiculous!  It was so good!!!  I just laughed when it was over because it was so good.  Anyway, I'm content with the results even though Danny didn't win.  They kept saying it was time for a girl to win.  First season...final 4...I wanted Melody to win.  Second season...final 4...I wanted Travis to win.  Third season...final 4...I wanted Danny to win.  It's a curse!  The same thing happens with American Idol.  Clay Aiken, Bo Bice...yeah...

Gotta hit the hay.  School meetings tomorrow.  Students come on Thursday.  Night!

Tomorrow I have my first official teacher meeting.  It is a curriculum meeting, then tomorrow evening I'm helping Doug's band out setting drill.  Several staff can't be there due to a previous obligation so I'm filling in a few nights this week.  We had a house guest last week (staff) and I think we're actually having two this week...I like company.  Well...that's about all the news for now.  Ta!

Today I have officially started getting my classroom ready for school.  Things are unpacked and finding home bit by bit.  I'm excited about this year.  I'll be spending a lot of time at school this week getting things ready.  I'm already ahead of where I was this time last year.  I'm excited but very tired.  I did a lot of work today!  I have a lot of organizing to do still!  Well, I'm honestly going to be heading to bed soon.  Ta!
